Nintendo Switch Sports is a remake of sorts for Wii Sports, the incredibly popular sports title bundled with most Wii consoles. This title packs in most of the sports fans will remember like tennis and bowling, plus a few extras such as soccer, volleyball, and badminton. This guide explains if Golf is in Nintendo Switch Sports, because it’s not as straightforward as you might think.

When will Golf be in Nintendo Switch Sports?

Golf was not a part of Nintendo Switch Sports when it launched in April, 2022. Instead, Nintendo confirmed that golf would be added to the game in a post-launch update later in the year. When Nintendo made this announcement, the only release window given was in Q4 of 2022. In September, Nintendo confirmed that this featured would be delayed a bit, and instead be added during the holiday season. A couple of months later, the publisher and developer provided yet another update.

Nintendo confirmed in November 2022 that golf will be added to Nintendo Switch Sports on November 23 in a free update.

The addition of golf will come with 21 holes from the Wii Sports series. Nintendo Switch Sports will include casual golf, as well as a Survival mode. Wii Sports is one of the best selling games of all time. With over 80 million sales, Wii Sports was the highest selling game on the Nintendo Wii, although it helped that is was also bundled with the console.
