As a team-based PvP shooter, you must communicate with your squadmates in Crucible. Amazon’s free-to-play multiplayer game needs you to play as a team to beat your opponents, and the best way to do this is to use some form of chat functionality.
The text chat is good, but voice chat is even better. That would be the case if players knew if there was voice chat support in Crucible, though. If you’re curious about whether Crucible supports voice chat, we’ve got answers for you.
How do I chat with my teammates in Crucible?
Right now, you can’t. Yes, you read that right, there is no voice chat or text chat functionality in Crucible. For a game based around co-operative play, it’s an oversight on developer Relentless Studios’ part.
Players diving into Crucible aren’t happy with this revelation. Threads have popped up, on the game’s sub-Reddit, with gamers voicing their frustration at there being no chat functionality in a game that relies heavily on teamwork.
Voice and text chat will be coming to Crucible as soon as possible, though. In response to the above thread, Reddit user BSVino, who helped developer Crucible, confirmed that Relentless has made voice chat support a “top priority.” BSVino also explained that text chat was being worked on at the same time and that both would be patched into the game as soon as they’re ready.
For players who are desperate for any form of chat functionality, BSVino stated that using the voice chat channels on Crucible‘s Discord channel would help for the time being. Once voice and text chat are added to Amazon’s game, it’ll be much easier to talk to your teammates.
