NBA 2K21: Best MyTeam Clutch promo cards to target

A new Clutch promo is available.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

A new NBA 2K21 MyTeam limited time promo entitled Clutch launched on September 11. The new promo features the addition of two limited time packs, all of which will expire on September 18. In addition, new Clutch cards have been added to MyTeam as well. So which cards should you target from this new promo? Let’s go over what you need to know.

First off, let’s take a look at the new Clutch packs. There are two new packs available: the Clutch Pack and the Clutch Deluxe Pack. The Clutch Pack (cost of 11,250 VC or 10,500 MT) includes one player and four items with a chance of pulling a Clutch player. The Clutch Deluxe Pack (15,000 VC or 17,250 MT) contains a guaranteed Clutch player and four items. A Clutch Deluxe Pack Box, featuring 10 Clutch Deluxe Packs, is also available and costs 135,000 VC.

Now that we’ve gone over the promo packs, let’s talk about which cards you should target from this promo.

Michael Jordan

It just doesn’t get much better than a Michael Jordan MyTeam card. The NBA legend’s Clutch card stands at 91 OVR, and if there’s one thing you can count on MJ for, it’s shooting. Jordan has an A Inside Scoring rating, as well as an A- Mid-Range Scoring attribute. Yes, Jordan is rather weak in the 3PT Scoring (C+) and Rebounding (D-) categories, but the former Bulls superstar makes up for that with a solid A rating in Perimeter Defense

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryan’t Clutch card is one of the most balanced cards you’ll find among shooting guards. Out of the ten major grades, Bryant has an A- or better. The only areas that Kobe is lacking are Post Defense (C-) and Rebounding (D), which isn’t all that surprising given his size. But with all of those other strong ratings and at 90 OVR, Bryant’s Clutch card is hard to pass up on, especially if you’re looking for a shooter

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

While Jabbar doesn’t have the same shooting prowess that Jordan and Bryant possess, the former Lakers legend should be a beast in the paint. Armed with A+ Inside Scoring and A+ Rebounding attributes, it’s going to be hard to stop Kareem inside. Don’t expect Abdul-Jabbar to hit many threes, but with great Inside and Mid-Range Scoring ratings, he’ll be a very valuable addition to your squad.

Richard Hamilton

Pistons guard Richard Hamilton is one of the better cost-effective players you can get out of this promo. Hamilton doesn’t have the great shooting attributes from the inside and mid-range that Jordan and Bryant do, but the former shooting guard does have a solid 3PT Scoring (A-) rating to go along with lockdown Perimeter Defense (A). And don’t sleep on Hamilton’s A- Playmaking attribute, either.

Ray Allen

Former Supersonics and Celtics guard Ray Allen was a three-point machine during his playing days in the NBA, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he has great shooting attributes in 2K21. Allen’s Clutch card has an A+ 3PT Scoring rating, better than the four players we mentioned above. The two-time NBA champion also has some nice Inside (A-) and Mid-Range (A) attributes as well.
