After the general assumption seemed to be that PC players would need to wait a while for the game to release on the platform after it got some exclusive time on the Nintendo Switch, it would seem that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be releasing on July 9 on both platforms.

A spinoff title to the main series, it is also a direct follow-up to the original Monster Hunter Stories and will allow players to hatch, raise, and live alongside monsters in a new RPG take on the Monster Hunter universe.

Players will be able to interact with and control monsters like Mizutsune, Pukei-Pukei, Paolumu, Anjanath, Legiana, Kula-Ya-Ku, and Velocidrome as they try to get to the bottom of the mysterious monster disappearances that have been happening all over the world.

The story will play out over a range of locations and biomes, each one teeming with monsters and wonderfully realized. Capcom has promised a world filled with adventure, drama, and friendships to make, and the story-centric nature of the game is sure to appeal to the millions of players who have fallen in love with Monster Hunter over the years.

Amiibo fans are also in for some good news, as three Amiibos for Razewing Ratha, Tsukino, and Ena will all be available when the game launches, although they will obviously have no functionality with the PC version of the game.
