The end of the Super Bowl means the end of the football season and a new beginning. 32 NFL teams have the chance to reset and recalibrate during the offseason, and this time also means a chance for football fans to get ready for an annual Madden release. Typically, Madden games launch sometime during the month of August. Last year, EA Sports release Madden 21 on August 28. Two years ago, Madden 20 launched earlier than normal (August 2), but still right around the time we expect EA Sports to release its yearly game every year.
This year will be no exception to the rule, as EA Sports confirmed on June 17 that Madden 22 will officially be released on August 20. The new game will feature a legend of the game, and an emerging legend, as quarterbacks Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes will be on the cover of this year’s Madden game.
While Madden 22 will officially launch worldwide for everyone on August 20, keep in mind a few things. For one, EA Play subscribers typically receive a few days of limited early access with the game before it releases. This window typically opens up around a week before the official launch of the game. This year, EA Play subscribers can start playing Madden on August 12.
Additionally, those who buy the Dynasty and MVP Editions will receive three days of early access, beginning on August 17.
