When is the next wipe in Escape From Tarkov?

Players need to wait for a while for the next wipe.

Battlestate Games’ Escape From Tarkov has been in development for quite a while now. The closed beta testing began back in 2017, and the game has come a long way since then. The game has been widely acclaimed for its realistic mechanics and it offers an immersive experience for hardcore FPS lovers.

When is the next wipe?

The developers release major updates quite frequently, with the last update, version 0.12.9, adding new character customization options for the character. Alongside the update, the game also received a wipe.

As of now, the next wipe date for Escape From Tarkov is not known. The last wipe took place on December 24, 2020. While not all patches require a wipe, some of the major patches do come along with a wipe. We will update the article when Battlestate Games reveals more information about the next wipe.

What is a wipe?

For those who are unaware, a wipe usually complements some of the major patches and all of the player’s progression is reset. This means all the quest progression, trader rep, and even your stash will be restored to what it was when you started the game.

You start off again at Level 1, and if you have the Edge of Darkness edition, you will get back whatever you had in the beginning. This happens mainly because a patch requires the player’s progress to be wiped, and with the game being in closed alpha, such things aren’t uncommon.
