Where to get the Big Shell crab mount in Final Fantasy XIV

Get your crab mount.

To celebrate the final ranking period of the Ishgardian Restoration, Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 5.41 adds new rewards obtainable with Skybuilders’ scrips. Among them is the Big Shell mount, a crab players can ride around on. Getting this mount will take some serious time investment in the Ishgardian Restoration.

Buy the mount for 8,400 Skybuilders’ scrips

Like other available mounts in the Firmament, players will need to earn 8,400 Skybuilders’ scrips first. Craft collectible items, appraise gathered materials from Diadem. Find your favorite way to farm enough scrips for the mount. Once you have the required 8400 scrips, speak with Enie, the Scrip Exchange NPC in the Firmament (X:12, Y:14). Purchase the “Big Shell Whistle” from her and use the item to obtain the mount. If you don’t have access to the Firmament, check out our guide on how to unlock the Ishgardian Restoration to reach this area.

Purchase the mount on the market board

Alternatively, if you’re not up for farming Skybuilders’ scrips, you can buy the mount directly with gil. Head to the market board and search for the “Big Shell Whistle” item. This mount is pricey, sitting at around 1,200,000 gil on our server. But it’s possible the prices will keep going down as players burn through Skybuilders’ scrips during the Ishgardian Restoration’s final ranking period.
