Why is Fortnite not working after Season 10’s ending?

A black hole swallowed the Fortnite, which means servers are down for right now.

The end of Fortnite Season 10 brought with it the seeming destruction of the entire game, though it is more likely just the map and some game mechanics that are going to be lost in that black hole that sucked everything in.

But what that means is there is currently no way to play Fortnite in any way, shape, or form on any console, because for right now, the game doesn’t exist anymore.

Epic Games has wiped the board clean and is going to introduce something new to the juggernaut title soon, but that means they needed to keep players off of the servers and away from the game. Ending everything in a fantastically put together event that not only played into previous seasons but also gave a real reason for the game to “end” was very smart.

This move has the internet talking, and all eyes are on Fortnite right now, going so far as crashing Twitch when it peaked with over 4.2 million viewers across the platform.

If you listen carefully, you can occasionally hear some noises over the ambient music playing on the dead title screen while the black hole swirls around, but that is pretty much it.

If you want to play Fortnite, you will have to wait until whatever Epic is planning comes through that spacial rend and reveals itself, which should be sooner rather than later. Until then, you can sit back and watch the animation.
