Monster Hunter World was just released last month, towards the end of the month, i.e. 26th January. And within such a short duration the game sold over 6 million copies and that is a record on its own. The game passed 1.5 million sales mark recently in Japan in only two weeks and that makes the game hold the record of the highest debut rate in Japan which is not on a portable console.
The game is currently available on Xbox One and PS4, with a PC version coming later this year.
