This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

First details about PS5 have apparently slipped off as reported on Semiaccurate, a subscription-based website that has previously revealed Nintendo NX stuff well ahead of its reveal. So it’s at least a tiny bit reliable or looks like it is at the very least.

As said, the website is subscription based so we won’t be able to check the information out without subscribing with a monthly or annual fee. Luckily enough, users on ResetEra have managed to obtain this piece of information, and it’s interesting to take note of all the possible specs attached with the console.

PlayStation 5 Specs Leaked

It’s worth mentioning that all this information is yet to be confirmed and won’t probably be revealed until around 2019 when the next-gen Sony platform is expected to be revealed and launched (at latest it should be 2020). Anyway, the report claims the situation is a bit different but that would be a huge surprise to us.

Let’s have a look at the leaked specs and details, then

  • Uses AMD’s Navi as its base architecture, not specifically using Navi.
  • CPU is Zen
  • A large amount of devkits have apparently gone out.
  • The author suggests 2018 release of PS5 is not out of the question based on the amount of devkits released
  • VR “goodies” baked in at the Silicon level

So, it’s apparently a confirm of a previous rumor which stated that PS5 dev kits had been already shipped to the most important first and third-party developers during the last few months.

The rest is very unconfirmed and very, very early to verify and comment. What would you think, should all this get more and more serious soon?
