What many consider to be the video game equivalent of the Oscars, The Game Awards, is set to air next month on Dec. 12, marking the show’s fifth anniversary. But before the awards come the nominees, which were revealed today in a 9-minute-long YouTube video hosted by Game Awards producer and creator Geoff Keighley.

Some of the biggest games of 2019 were nominated in categories like Best Narrative, Best Direction, a number of genre awards and, of course, Game of the Year. Aside from awards for video games, nominees were also announced for categories like Content Creator of the Year and Best Esports Player. See below for the complete list of nominees.

There seem to be a few clear favorites that are nominated for a number of categories, particularly Control and Death Stranding, which tied for the most nominations at eight each. Other interesting tidbits mentioned by Keighley include that the nominees for Best Ongoing Game and Best Community Support are the same, and that all five nominees for Best Family Game this year are Nintendo games.

Voting for each category is open now on The Game Awards website. The show will air Dec. 12 at 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET.
