Last month, Fortnite announced a fun Star Wars crossover. It introduced a Stormtrooper cosmetic skin in its Battle Royale mode to coincide with the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Now, there’s an upcoming event with the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
An exclusive premiere is set to take place at the Risky Reels drive-in theater. It’s here that director J.J. Abrams will debut an exclusive clip from The Rise of Skywalker, starting on Dec. 14 at 2:00pm EDT.

According to the promo poster, it’s a “Fortnite Presents” deal, and doors for the theater are set to open around 1:30pm EDT.
Fortnite has crossed paths before with Disney with their promotional events. Last year, Wreck-It Ralph made a cameo in the game, appearing on the screen in Risky Reels to promote his latest film, Ralph Breaks the Internet. And who could forget the mighty Thanos becoming a playable character during promotions for Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War?
This screening is likely to be a huge draw, considering the Star Wars fans that also play the game.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters just a week later, on Dec. 20.
