Adventure Week returns to Pokémon GO in a limited time event. Starting today and ending June 5, Rock type Pokémon will appear more with Aerodactly headlining raid battles.
Niantic is bringing back the Rock type event Adventure Week to Pokémon GO with some big rewards.
Starting today at 1pm PDT and ending June 5, Rock type Pokémon such as Geodude, Lileep, and Nosepass will appear more frequently in the wild. There are some other incentives coming with this event as well. Unique Field Research will be available that corresponds to the event and will reward players. Aerodactyl will also appear in raid battles.
The rewards don’t stop there. Other incentives include four times faster candy found by your buddy Pokémon, as well as additional experience for spinning the Photo Disc at PokéStops and Gyms. You will also be able to receive up to 10 times the usual amount of experience if you encounter a unique PokéStop or Gym for the first time.
Remember that the Adventure Week event is all about exploring new places while playing Pokémon GO. Hence the additional experience earned by visiting new PokéStops and Gyms for the first time.
While this event doesn’t come with any cool accessories for your character, it will provide players with some extra experience and possibly allow them to level up. This event should be especially helpful for players like me who are in the high 30’s and are currently struggling to get that extra experience to hit level 40.
