Tonight has been filled with exciting Pokémon news for fans of the popular video game franchise.

After new Pokémon games were unveiled, Niantic revealed that Alolan Exeggutor has been added to Pokémon Go.

“In celebration of this announcement, Alolan Exeggutor will now appear all over the world in Pokémon Go,” Niantic said. “This is the first Alolan form of a Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region to arrive in Pokémon Go. Keep an eye out for this Pokémon’s tall and stately presence all over the world, where it will appear more often for a limited time.”

Unlike the Kanto version of this Pokémon, Alolan Exeggutor is a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon. The Alola region was introduced to the franchise in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Pokémon from the Kanto region found different niches in Alola, which accounts for their unique abilities, typing, and appearance.

As the first Pokémon from the Alola region in Pokémon Go, Alolan Exeggutor will be a hot commodity in the mobile game—and it’s set to spawn more frequently for a limited time. Niantic didn’t provided an exact timeline for these increased spawns, however.

Other Pokémon games were also introduced tonight, including Pokémon Quest, as well as Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! In addition, an unnamed core Pokémon role-playing game is set to be released in the second half of 2019.
