The first image is definitely steampunk themed, which seems to represent the technology dominant city life and has a dark tone to it.

While the second with the lake and beautiful landscape might refer to the countryside life as depicted in Asian countries. Which is peaceful away from the noise and pollution of the city.

Now, the reason behind this concept artwork released by Ubisoft is to ask the gaming community their opinion in what type of environment they want to be in the game, “what types of environments are you looking forward to discovering, exploring and expressing yourselves in, as free pirates in System 3”.

Along with the question they gave us a few options to choose from, namely:

  • Secret Pirate lairs on asteroids, spaceports, dormant volcanic craters…
  • Black markets in city slums
  • Treacherous mining operations
  • Lush valleys with sacred temples
  • Legendary treasures are hidden in uncharted territories across space

Out of these options which one would you prefer and want to see in the game and live the scenario in-game? The best place to vent your opinion is at the official forum.

At present, there is no release window for the game has been announced, however, if you want to know more about the game then you can watch a live streamed event of the game which was held in December 2017.
