A new Shaman epic from Hearthstone’s next expansion has been unveiled.

The Boomsday Project is coming in fast, after a condensed card reveal season. It’s now only nine days away from arriving in game.

Thunderhead is a four mana Shaman 3/5 minion. It’s an Elemental, and after you play a card with Overload it summons two 1/1 Sparks with Rush.

This is sort of like a souped up Violet Teacher. It doesn’t trigger on all spells, but when it does it summons two tokens and they have rush. This has the potential to be a great board control tool. Spells like Lightning Bolt and Lightning Storm can come down, and then be helped in clearing up the board by the Sparks. Rolled two on Lightning Storm? Don’t worry, there’s an extra one damage available.

The Boomsday Project is the second expansion of the current Standard year, the Year of the Raven. It will add 135 new cards to the game, including new keywords like Magnetic. It is currently available to pre-order, with all the cards becoming available on Aug. 7.
