Power Word: Replicate is the latest Priest spell revealed from The Boomsday Project

Power Word: Replicate is a five-mana Priest spell that allows you to pick a friendly minion and summon a 5/5 copy of it.

At first glance, it seems like this card could be pretty strong. Priest players should recognize this effect since it’s similar to Shadow Essence, which summons a 5/5 copy of a random minion in your deck.

This card should also have very good synergy with Zerek, Master Cloner—the new legendary Priest minion that was revealed yesterday. In addition, Power Word: Replicate could be useful in Quest Priest decks because it summons a minion, and you need to play seven Deathrattle minions for your Quest.

Other Priest cards that are coming in The Boomsday Project include Cloning Device, a two-mana spell that Discovers a copy of a minion in your opponent’s deck, and Omega Medic, which can restore 10 health to your hero if you have 10 mana crystals.

The Boomsday Project is the second expansion of the current Standard year, the Year of the Raven. It’ll add 135 new cards to the game, including new keywords like Magnetic. Hearthstone players can already preorder this expansion—and all of the cards will be available on Aug. 7.
