Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard are currently knee-deep in Season 3: Classified Arms. Fresh weapons, Operators, and more are part of the new Battle Pass on Caldera. King Kong and Godzilla arrive next week as part of Operation Monarch, but there’s work to be done on the backend before that. Raven Software’s latest update is now live.
As detailed in the patch notes, the focus here is on weapons, vehicles, and bug fixes. The new Nikita AVT was called out specifically, as it hasn’t been living up to Raven’s expectations since it arrived. In fact, Vanguard weapons have by and large proved weak in Warzone, according to the writeup. Meanwhile, the Armored Truck has proven too powerful, so that’s been nerfed a bit. You can find the complete patch notes at the bottom of this article.
As for the future of Warzone, Call of Duty devs have responded vaguely as to whether skins and cosmetics will transfer to Warzone 2. That’s not the only thing up in the air for Warzone 2 either. It’s reportedly going to be the last one on PlayStation in 2023, and a prominent Call of Duty leaker claims it’ll feature a Modern Warfare 2-themed map. Modern Warfare 2 has at least been officially confirmed.

- Turret
- Damage decreased by 40%.
- Health
It’s become clear since its return to the Warzone, that the Armored truck has become a great asset to any team. However, its overwhelming presence has felt oppressive to engage against. We’re bringing it in line with other Vehicles, while still retaining its role as a power-house.

Weapon Adjustments
Vanguard weapons have been struggling to perform on par with their peers since they dropped into the Warzone. This update is laying the groundwork to resolve that. Engagement distances have only increased since the transition to Caldera. More skirmishes are taking place within minimum damage ranges. As a result of this, Weapons that have low maximum damage ranges or low minimum damage have become largely inviable. Unfortunately for Vanguard weapons, this was often the case. Below you will find a myriad of changes aimed at injecting some budding competition into the upper echelon of Warzone weaponry.
