Control, the popular third-person shooter from Remedy, received a new trailer during tonight’s Game Awards, detailing a new game mode called “Expeditions” with a release date for March 26, 2020.

Expeditions is a timed, combat-focused game mode where players test their skills, abilities, and builds in a series of challenges in a new area in the Black Rock Quarry Threshold.

Once players have completed the primary mission “My Brother’s Keeper,” they can work their way back to the Central Executive area to find their first jukebox token. Put the token into the jukebox machine, and you start. Players will have 25 minutes to complete the challenge. Players unlock new tiers of challenges after each one, escalating the difficulty.

Each Expedition triggers random “parameter,” such as more health or damage — the higher the difficulty tier, the more parameters players have to face. The game also spawns more or fewer enemies, depending on where you are or what you are doing.

If you fail, you are out of the Expedition. You can earn Jukebox tokens by completing Bureau Alerts, Board, Countermeasures, and killing named enemies.

Expeditions are available now for players on all platforms..

The trailer also teased the first DLC pack for the game, entitled “The Foundation,” and gave a release date for the pack. Not much else came out about the content besides the brief tease.

Control is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
