Pokémon: Detective Pikachu is going to release on home media in the UK in September.
Detective Pikachu has become one of the better-received video game based movies. Fans of the Pokémon series adore how the film represented Pokémon in live-action, and many highly praised Ryan Reynolds for his the vocal performance of Detective Pikachu.
Fans of the film were no doubt dying to find out when the movie releases on Blu-Ray and digital platforms. While we knew already the US release of the movie, there wasn’t much word on the release of the film in the UK.
According to Serebii, the film is going to release digitally in the UK on September 2. The DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray versions of the film are expected to release in the UK on September 16.

The physical release versions of the film are expected to come with a special promotional card. Serebii reports that the promo card will be the same card that audiences received when they went to see the movie in participating theaters. The promo card features the titular Detective Pikachu sitting in a café, drinking coffee.
The significant difference between the promo cards that were handed out in the theaters and the ones fans receive for buying a physical release version of the movie is that the Detective Pikachu logo is on the cards that come with the film’s physical release.
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu releases digitally in the US on July 23. It releases later on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 6.
