EA’s Origin Access Premier subscription service is now live

EA has revealed that players can now sign up for Origin Access Premier, the newest subscription tier for PC gamers that serves up access to EA’s catalogue of full releases. It’s a Netflix-like platform that’s meant to offer ways for players to enjoy the entirety of new releases a few days ahead of their official launch.

It offers a wide selection of different titles to try out for $15 a month or $100 a year, which allows you to jump into big hits before the public can, as well as additional benefits normally included with the Basic membership. This includes access to The Vault, EA’s selection of over 100 games, and other fun extras like in-game currency. 

Origin Access Premier is the first subscription service for the company, with games like The Sims 4, Star Wars Battlefront II, A Way Out, Unravel Two, and FIFA 18 available now. In the future, titles like the highly-anticipated Battlefield V, Anthem, Madden NFL 19, and FIFA 19 will be hitting the service, so this should make for an affordable way for players to experiment with some of the biggest games hitting later in 2018 and in early 2019. 

Even if you decide to only subscribe for a few months, it’s still worth trying out for a bit since you’ll save quite a bit if you decide not to purchase a game and opt instead to “borrow” it from the service.
