This year’s game promises improvements and FUTSAL mode.
EA has announced FIFA 20 with a gameplay video before the EA Play presentation at E3.
This year’s game promises a host of improvements from last years version, including further graphically improvement, the new Football Intelligence system to further improve authenticity, as well as better control indecisive movements, and improved ball physics.
EA has also confirmed a new mode called VOLTA, a brand new gameplay mode that looks like a cross between EA’s FIFA and FUTSAL, with a big emphasis on style.
Last year’s cover star, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, is like to be replaced, with the favourite to replacement Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian striker Neymar. The cover was replaced on FIFA 19 months after its release with Neymar, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Ronaldo’s Juventus teammate Paulo Dybala.
It continues steady progress for EA’s premier sports game, which has been incredibly popular with each new year, especially in Europe. It also comes as the Euro Nations League finals come to a close, and the Copa America begins. The game, still running on Frostbite 3, is due to be released on all major formats on September 27.
The development of the Nintendo Switch version of the game is also unknown after the last two years of release saw the game have a custom engine that wasn’t the Frostbite engine. We can confirm the Switch edition of FIFA 20 will not include VOLTA.
