Time is running out. Meteors, map changes, and everything else we could see when Season 4 arrives.
The end of season three of Fortnite has been a topic of discussion for a while now, as fans have theorized about meteors and comets falling from the sky for weeks.
Now, it’s just a few days away. So what’s really going to happen?
We’ve seen emergency alerts appear on the televisions to join the comet in the sky, followed by meteorites striking down and exploding. Epic Games has confirmed and begun teasing season four, which looks like it will have a superhero theme.
One Reddit user, going by the name of internetadam, predicted the superhero theme a few days ago before it was initially teased by Epic. What’s more, though, is that he claims that the meteor will fall at Dusty Depot and not Tilted Towers like has long been guessed.
Today, internetadam made a new post, claiming that their source at Epic Games has told them new information about season four and beyond.
“The map will always be evolving,” internetadam said. “The map will be updated WEEKLY in Season 4. Epic feels like they had a wasted opportunity with Tilted Towers going up all at once. They would rather have had bulldozers & a few raising cranes one week, then one building go up the next week, two buildings the following week, etc.”
The post also claimed that Moisty Mire would be the next to go and that it will be gone by the end of season four, and that the superhero themed skins won’t be licensed DC or Marvel properties, but made-up ones by Epic.
It certainly seems as though whatever happens over the next few days, change is coming to Fortnite’s map.
Whether Dusty Depot, Tilted Towers, or somewhere else is destroyed, it’s an awesome way for Epic Games to adjust the locations on the map in real time while keeping the community engaged.
