Televisions all across the map inside of Fortnite: Battle Royale have begun broadcasting an emergency alert, like in the picture captured by Reddit user Jaydawave. It all started happening shortly after a cryptic tweet put out by Epic Games this morning. It seems like something big is about to go down.

For weeks, players have been theorizing and obsessing over the possibility of a meteor or some type of catastrophic event taking place in the game. Many think that some sort of comet or meteor will strike and destroy Tilted Towers.

Yesterday, players found a new area in Tilted Towers with couches and signs on a rooftop pointing to something happening today. It appears that whatever Epic has had planned is finally about to take effect sometime soon.

Whatever is about to happen, whether it’s a meteor striking down one of the most popular landing spots in the game or some other kind of UFO event to set the stage for the game’s season four, be prepared for change inside of Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Season three is scheduled to end on Monday, April 30, so either way, the next few days are going to be very interesting.
