The folks at 11 bit studios, developers of Frostpunk, are wishing everyone a happy holidays with the release of ‘A Christmas Carol’, a free content update that brings a completely new quest to the game’s Endless mode.
There’s no doubt that the atmosphere that 11 bit studios has created in Frostpunk lends itself well to a Charles Dickens inspired quest. The game’s Endless mode lets players experience the full force of the decisions they are forced to make, and ‘A Christmas Carol’ brings a new Christmas-themed building along with the new quest. In true Frostpunk fashion, the decisions leaders will have to make will be difficult.
In the neverending winter of the late 19th century, humanity’s last survivors are desperately trying to build the foundation of a society capable of surviving the endless deep freeze. In the darkest of times, what they truly need is a little bit of hope — a tiny piece of home in a world far away from the home they remember. The holidays draw near, and the survivors come to you, the leader of this frozen hellscape to ask for ‘A Christmas Carol’ to cheer them up.
