Genshin Impact’s update 1.3 to be previewed live tomorrow – Here’s how to watch

An in-depth showing of the Lantern Rite event looks all but confirmed.

With Genshin Impact’s update 1.3 expected to release within the next few weeks, developer MiHoYo has announced that it will lend a preview of what content is going to be packaged in. Better yet, the preview will be in the form of a livestream set to premiere tomorrow.

On January 22, this special livestream event, titled “All That Glitters,” will go live on Genshin Impact’s YouTube channel at 11AM ET, 8AM PT, and 4PM BT. As to what exactly it will reveal, the game’s Twitter account has promoted the livestream with a photo of Paimon grasping onto a lantern – presumably pointing to a look at the Lantern Rite event quest.

Aside from this anticipated new event, it is already known that most quests introduced by the new update won’t consume Original Resin, a time-gated resource used to access certain content. In addition, MiHoYo has already mentioned that the character Zhongli will be receiving numerous buffs.

If this livestream is anything like those before it, there is likely much more bound to be shown. Many already believe there may be a new city and character supplied by update 1.3.

Currently, there is no specific release date for this content drop, but with the developer looking to release updates every six weeks or so, it is currently on track to land in early February.
