Teppen is making a lot of moves, including adding a brand new hero to the game along with several other updates.

We all knew a new hero was coming to Teppen at some point soon, and when Capcom announced they were putting on a live stream to premiere the game in Asia, the timing was perfect for speculation to rise.

Names like Zero from the MegaMan X series and Virgil from Devil May Cry were commonly thrown around during discussions, but after announcing the game was released in more regions tonight, Resident Evil fans got a pleasant surprise.

Fan-favorite Jill Valentine is now available to play as in the game, with her own unique set of cards added to the expanding list. Her cards are currently the only new additions to the game, but a new Resident Evil themed expansion, Day of Nightmares, was announced for September.

Jill joins Ryu and Rathalos in the Red Hero category, which means she has a very burn focused playstyle in her basic setup. She focuses on searching for ammo and building up charges to use different unit abilities. This is unique for Teppen and could potentially change how some aspects of the game are played if it can help the right cards slot into the meta.

Since she just released, there isn’t enough information on how she will indeed play out in the current meta, but so far players seem to enjoy what she brings to the game. With Nergigante recently getting nerfed, this is the perfect time to insert some fresh content into the game. It seems like the hole Nergigante left with his nerf is now being filled with more Ryu players and a mixed increase in usage to heroes like Dante and Wesker.

More playable heroes and card expansions were teased about being coming in Winter 2019, so fans can gear up for another round of speculation in hopes that their favorite Capcom rep gets in next as the game continues to expand.

Jill is available for everyone to play for free right now; all you need to do is update the game. Teppen is currently available on both Android and iOS.
