Pokémon GO announced the Legendary Week of Raid Battles, bringing back Groudon, and Kyorge to Legendary Raids. Trainers can also purchase special in game boxes that include Raid Passes, also special Egg hatches if one Legendary Pokémon is defeated more than the other.
If you happened to have missed your chance in catching Groudon or Kyorge, then you’re in luck. Niantic is bringing them back for a week-long event in Pokémon GO.
Legendary Week
Starting February 23 and ending March 5, you will have the chance to catch Groudon and Kyogre, if you missed out on their first appearance. All three Hoenn region Legendary Pokémon will be available to battle during these times. Now is your chance to catch Groudon, Kyorge, and Rayquaza all in one week!
If you’ve forgotten which Pokémon to use against Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, don’t worry, because we have you covered.
Special Egg Hatches
During the Legendary Week of Raid Battles, Trainers have the chance to unlock special Egg hatches from March 5 to March 16. What Pokémon will hatch from Eggs depends on which Legendary Pokémon will be defeated the most.
If Rayquaza is defeated more, Pokémon who prefer windy weather are more likely to hatch. If Groudon is defeated more, Pokémon who prefer sunny weather are more likely to hatch, and if Kyogre is defeated more, Pokémon who prefer rainy weather are more likely to hatch.
Special In Game Boxes
Starting February 24, Trainers will also be able to purchase special in game boxes that contain Raid Passes to help them catch and defeat each Legendary. Remember, that you get one free Raid Pass a day on your first visit to a Gym. These boxes will only be around for a limited time, so it will be a chance to stock up on additional Raid Passes.
Pokémon GO is certainly keeping the community busy with events and don’t forget that starting tomorrow on February 24 is the second Pokémon GO Community Day.
