New tracks, new characters, new venue.
Nintendo’s all-conquering and somewhat controversial Mario Kart Tour has taken the world by storm and caused more than a few people to get furious about it ever since it was released this past September.
If you’re a fan of the game, you’ve no doubt thoroughly learned to master all the tracks and locations available to you by now and may just be wondering what reason you should have for carrying on pouring money into Nintendo’s coffers. Well, wonder no longer as the official Mario Kart Tour Twitter has just released some pretty big news in regards to the game.
As you can see, starting at 11 pm tomorrow, Pacific Time, the game will be getting an update called the Tokyo Tour. This will add new courses as well as nostalgic ones for you to get to grips with as well as a host of new characters. This update will become available for people in the UK at 7 am Tuesday due to the time difference.
If you don’t own the game yet, you can download Mario Cart Tour from the App Store or Google play for your relevant iOS and Android device and experience it for free for a two-week trial period. When that time is up, though, you’ll have to buy a Gold Pass if you want to keep on playing.
