Once Mortal Kombat (2011) revealed Freddy Krueger as a DLC guest, Netherrealm Studios continued the trend of featuring iconic pop culture characters from movie or video game franchises in their iconic fighting games including Injustice. When Predator became DLC in Mortal Kombat X, fans have been speculating if the Terminator will be one alongside him. While it wasn’t the case despite adding DLC costumes for Johnny Cage and Jax, Mortal Kombat 11 finally brings Terminator into the Mortal Kombat world.

Unfortunately, the voice is not provided by the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the impersonation does a great job of capturing his voice. The motion capture might be Arnold as it looks super accurate, though with how advanced video games are with graphics, that might not be the case.

The gameplay is stellar in staying true to the Terminator’s character and provide one of the most outlandish but awesome fatalities so far. Netherrealm Studios knows how to make them over-the-top but amazing to watch with its cinematic approach. As for intros and outros, we can expect funny and nostalgic throwback lines and give a ton of fanservice to fans of the franchise. Early access for the Terminator will be released on October 8 for all platforms.

Alongside the gameplay trailer, there will be more costumes in a pack titled Double Feature, and to coincide with Joker, who is unreleased at the moment, a Cassie Quinn costume. Who else is ready to play the iconic 80s movie character next week?
