Far Cry 6 was another victim to the endless game delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it was originally pushed back from the release date in early spring, we finally have a new day we can expect to jump into the action in the tropical paradise of Yara.
According to the game’s posting on the Microsoft Store, Far Cry 6 is expected to be released on May 25, 2021. More specifically, May 25 at 8 PM. While no time zone is specified, it may be specific to the viewer of the store page. There has not been an official statement by the Ubisoft or Far Cry social media pages so it is possible that the release of this date was an accidental leak.
Until the official accounts certify this release date, it may change depending on how quickly, or slowly, the remaining game development takes. As it currently stands, gamers should be able to purchase Far Cry 6 on May 25, for the PlayStation 4 and 5, the Xbox One and Series X, and PC.
