According to a new rumor, Nintendo 64 Classic is getting a November reveal and a December 2018 release.
The rumor, spread by Gaming Intel, claims there will be a second Nintendo Direct in November which will be focused on the platform.
The N64 Classic mini-console will reportedly feature around 30 games, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, Super Mario 64, Puyo Puyo Sun 64, and Banjo-Kazooie.
While it looks surprising to see a rumor about a mini-console getting announced and released so soon, it really shouldn’t.
NES Classic was announced on July 14, 2016 and launched on November 10, 2016, while SNES Classic was revealed on June 26, 2017 and launched on September 30, 2017.
While the timeline would be quite fitting, the Japanese platform and game maker has hinted at a possible break in the process.
Even the reveal of PlayStation Classic would suggest that Nintendo could take a break, considering how big the competition could be in that segment.
Otherwise, there could be once again a PSX vs N64 console was, around 20 years later their original launches. Wouldn’t it be crazy?
