Nintendo announced several games coming to the 3DS during its Nintendo Direct event. Detective Pikachu, WarioWare Gold, Dillion’s Dead-Heat Breakers, Luigi’s Mansion, and Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido all release in 2018. Coming 2019 is the remake of Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Stories and Bowser Jr’s Journey.
The Nintendo Direct event for March 8 revealed several new releases for the Nintendo 3DS for 2018 and beyond. Nintendo Direct is Nintendo’s way to disseminate information about new and upcoming titles, and draws the excitement and attention of every Nintendo fan. Here are some of the standout announcements for the 3DS.
Detective Pikachu
Play as Tim Goodman and partner up with the “great detective” to solve strange occurrences in Detective Pikachu, releasing on March 23, 2018. Alongside the release of the game, you can also purchase two separate Ambio figures, with one of them being a Detective Pikachu Amibo.
Dillion’s Dead-Heat Breakers
Join Dillion, the armadillo, and his trusty squirrel engineer, Russ, as you recruit hired guns to help protect the post-apocalyptic frontier. Starting May 10, 2018, you can download the demo for Dillion’s Dead Heat Breakers with a full release on May 24, 2018.
Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido
Help Musashi end the Empire’s monopoly of the world’s sushi supply by becoming a Sushi Striker. With a simultaneous release on the Nintendo Switch, prepare your sushi devouring skills for a release of June 8, 2018.
WarioWare Gold
Play WarioWare Gold containing several new additions and classic game modes. 300 micro games will be available starting August 3, 2018. How will you handle Wario’s several different games?
Luigi’s Mansion
Luigi’s Mansion is getting a 3DS remake and will be available later this year. This a remake of the 2001 GameCube release. Join Luigi as you explore a spooky mansion as you look for Mario.
Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey
Initially released on the Nintendo DS in 2009, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story gets a fresh look on the 3DS. Included in this remake is an untold story called Bowser Jr’s Journey. Join Mario and Luigi in 2019 for this remake.
