Pokemon Go turns three years old this week and to celebrate, Niantic is throwing itself a party with a deluge of new content. From today until Sept. 2, the game will be putting on several unique events as well as adding a host of new challenges to get some sweet loot.

This new set of Research Quests have just gone live and are available for trainers over level 10. By completing simple tasks like adding new friends, catching Pokemon, and hatching eggs, you can unlock a ton of useful items, a Dratini, and even a guaranteed Shiny Eevee to add to your collections.

Of course, the quests and challenges aren’t the only new thing on offer. As we have known for a while now, Alolan versions of your favorite Pokemon will start appearing more regularly over the next few weeks, and if you are super lucky, you might just come across a Shiny variant of those Pokémon. Party Hat Pikachu will be showing up on occasion and will only be available for a limited time.

If you don’t fancy taking part in the celebrations, however, there is still plenty of other things to do. Groundon and a Shiny variant of the Legendary Hoenn Pokémon are currently available to fight in raids. There are even extra Raid bonuses being given out to help you in catching Raid Pokémon for a limited time only, such as extra Premier Balls.

With that out of the way, all we can do now is wait for the official release of Unova Pokémon into Pokémon Go. Unova Pokemon were teased in the 3rd-anniversary artwork after all, so hopefully, we can get our hands on them soon.
