Pokémon Community Day for June has come and gone. Trainers all over the world celebrated by catching the Dark and Rock-type Larvitar with three times experience, three-hour lures, and the shiny variant. If you evolved your Larvitar to Tyranitar during the event, you were able to get the special move, Smack Down.

The Pokémon GO Community Day for July is going to make a splash! Starting July 8, you will be able to catch the Water-type Pokémon Squirtle, along with its Shiny Variant.

The additional bonuses that will take place during this Pokémon Community Day are three-hour Lures and ¼ egg hatch distance. This is a great time to use Super Incubators on 10k eggs to reduce the distance to hatch even more.

The Shiny Variant of Squirtle will also be seen during the event as well and will be easily identified due to its sky-blue color. Once evolved, Squirtle will become Wartortle and changes its color to a light purple. Evolving Wartortle to Blastoise will result in the same light purple color.

Blastoise will know a move that it normally doesn’t know during this Pokémon GO Community Event as well. The exclusive move will be Hydro Cannon. This Pokémon GO Community Event will be almost as popular as the Charmander event. I only wish they would include the Squirtle Squad Squirtle Variant.
