Pokémon GO Community Day once again was a big hit with the community for February. Trainers enjoyed catching Dratini alongside its Shiny Variant, three times Stardust for every catch, and three-hour Lures that attracted even more of the Dragon type. If you evolved your Dratini during the event, you had the chance of getting the special Dragon type move Draco Meteor for Dragonite.

The Pokémon GO Community Day for March brings us a very special Gen 1 starter. Starting March 25, Trainers will be able to catch the Grass and Poison type Pokémon Bulbasaur. Just like past Community Day events, Bulbasaur will be able to know an exclusive move that it normally doesn’t know. To obtain the move, simply evolve Bulbasaur during the event to Venusaur to reveal the special move.

Additional bonuses for Pokémon GO Community Day include, three times Catch XP, which means you will receive triple the amount of experience for every catch you make. This will be great for those Trainers still leveling up, as you can use a Lucky Egg to double the experience. In total you can earn six times the experience for every catch made! Once again, three-hour Lures will be in play as well.

Trainers will also be able to catch the Shiny Variant of Bulbasaur as well. A Shiny Bulbasaur is more of a brighter green, evolving in to Ivysaur with a golden flower, and finally in to Venusaur with the golden flower full bloom.

While some Trainers are a little disappointed to see Bulbasaur chosen for the next Community Day, I’ll be looking forward to adding the Shiny Variant to my collection alongside my pink Dratini. To find out what time the event starts in your area, head over to the Pokémon GO Event page.
