Rayquaza is a giant serpent Pokémon who first appeared in the third generations of Pokémon games, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It’s a Legendary Pokémon, and many believe Rayquaza is one of the most powerful Pokémon in the history of the franchise.
Rayquaza is a dragon and flying-type Pokémon with some of the highest stats in the franchise. It is weak towards rock, ice, dragon, and fairy-type moves, with ice-type moves causing it four-times the damage. It is, however, strong against fighting, bug, fire, water, and grass-type moves. It has one-fourth resistance towards grass-types. Rayquaza is also wholly immune to ground-type moves.
Niantic is describing this upcoming Raid Hour as the final one starring Rayquaza for 2019. This upcoming event is players’ last chance to get a shiny Rayquaza until at least next year possibly.
The final Raid Hour featuring Rayquaza in Pokémon Go is Sunday, Sept. 1st, from 6:00 PM. to 7:00 PM in your local time.
