Be one of the first to face Regigigas in Pokemon Go. Get a ticket for A Colossal Discovery right now, and have an opportunity to face Regigigas on November 2.
Pokémon Go players can now purchase a ticket for the A Colossal Discovery event, which includes the first potential encounter of Regigigas in the game.
The Colossal Discovery got announced on Oct. 14, and it is the first paid event in the game. Players need to pay 7.99 USD to get an item called the “ticket.” Other than an exclusive early encounter of Regigigas, the ticket also gives players a new medal and a new avatar pose. Players will also obtain ten additional raid passes during the special research mission. Players receive a new pass every time they spin a Photo Disc at a Gym.
The event begins on Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 11am and ending at 7pm in every player’s local time zone. You can buy the ticket at the in-game store, but players cannot purchase the tickets with PokéCoins.
The “ticket” is now available for purchase at the store, and they will remain available until Nov. 2, at 5pm local time.

Regigigas is a legendary Pokémon first shown in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the fourth generation of Pokémon games. It is the master of the Regis, which are three similar legendary Pokémon that look like golems. Regigigas is an incredibly powerful normal-type Pokémon, yet has one glaring flaw – it has the ability Slow Start. Slow Start halves its attack and speed stats for the first five turns of a battle. As a normal-type, it is vulnerable to fighting moves. Ghost-type moves can’t touch it, though.
The Colossal Discovery special research event is the first opportunity for players to encounter Regigigas. The giant Pokémon will be made available for everyone in EX raids later in November.
The Colossal Discovery will begin on Nov. 2, and check our article detailing how to get the “ticket.”
