Niantic announced its annual Halloween event, and you’ll be scared with how many treats you’ll get.

The Tricks and Treats

Starting today October 23 1:00 P.M. PDT and ending November 1 1:00 P.M. PDT, an increase of Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon will appear. You’ll see familiar Pokémon like Gastly, Sneasle, and Houndoom join Sinnoh Region Pokémon such as Drifloon and Stunky. Trainers will also have the chance to earn double candy during the event as well.

Professor Willow will need help on some limited time Special Research quests that has been causing some ruckus, all thanks to a strange stone that Professor Willow found one day. On top of the Special Research, you’ll also be able to take on Field Research quests that focus on Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon.

The biggest treat of them all is that the Renegade Pokémon, Giratina, will be available in Raid Battles. The Legendary Dragon and Ghost-type Pokémon hails from the Sinnoh Region and will disappear on November 20 at 1:00 P.M. PST.

The big trick to the event is that you can show your scary good looks with brand new avatar items. Wear the Drifloon Cap or carry your belongings to your favorite haunt with the Gengar Backpack. This Pokémon GO Halloween event is going to be a scary good time!
