Pokémon: Squirtle Funko Pop Announced

Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Charmander have already been turned into Funko Pops. Now it is Squirtle’s turn.

Funko revealed a brand new Funko Pop for the Pokémon Squirtle.

Funko is a company that specializes in creating unique figurines based on popular pop culture media. These Funko Pops have become increasingly popular over the years, possibly due to their affordability. Additionally, there’s a Funko version of almost everything out there.

There aren’t a lot of Funko Pops based on Nintendo property. The ones they do have are mostly Pokemon. The first one was Pikachu. Not long later, Funko release another Pikachu Figurine, including a giant Pikachu Pop.

Pikachu isn’t the only Pokémon that become a Funko Pop; Bulbasaur and Charmander quickly gained their own Pops after the Pikachu one was release. Bulbasaur and Charmander are two of the three starter Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Blue, the very first Pokémon games in the series. There’s even a giant Funko Pop figure of Bulbasaur.

The third starter, Squirtle, will finally get their Pop figure. Funko revealed on Twitter that a Squirtle Funko Pop would be coming soon. Funko has not shown a release date for the Pop on their website. Currently, it’s status is coming soon.

While Pikachu and the three original starters were obvious choices to be made into Pop figures, which Pokémon will come after Squirtle? Our money is on either Charizard or Mewtwo, as they are two very iconic and popular Pokémon. We also hope there will be an exclusive Squirtle Pop that will have the Squirtle Squad sunglasses from the anime.
