Heading into September, what games are available for free with PS Plus
As a longtime subscriber to PS Plus, I always look forward to this time of the month. It’s when Sony and Playstation reveal what games we can expect to get for free over the next 30 or so days, starting when the calendar clicks back to one again. Admittedly, there are times when I find myself wondering why I bother getting myself so excited for an announcement that then fails to deliver spectacularly or, worse; I’m filled with rage as I discover that a game has been swapped out at the last minute, looking at you PES 19.
Every so often they get it bang on, and instead of a swing and a miss, they knock the ball clean out of the park. This coming September is one of those times. So what have they got to offer you? Well, read on and find out.

Darksiders 3
Darksiders 3 is a hack and slash adventure that puts you firmly in the shoes of Fury, one of the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse. Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to return to the scorced Earth and hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins. By destroying them and their minions, you’ll restore the balance between good and evil, and that can only ever be a good thing.
Batman: Arkham Knight
Admittedly, Batman: Arkham Knight might not be as good as the first two parts of the franchise, but it’s a lot better, in my humble opinion, than most people give it credit for. Yes, the crowbar that was the Batmobile could’ve been dealt with a lot better, and anyone with even a passing knowledge of the comic books would’ve known that. *Spoiler for a four-year-old game incoming* the Arkham Knight was Jason Todd and not a brand new creation as promised, but the fact remains you’re still Batman, and you still get to do all the cool Batman stuff, like swooping down on unsuspecting criminals and beating the snot out of them. Anyway, consider yourself lucky that it wasn’t an adaptation of Batman Forever. Then you would have had something to complain about.
