2019 would be the last year beloved Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime held the position as president. While it was a sad time for Nintendo fans, Reggie’s retirement offered him many opportunities, including teaching at Cornwell University in New York. Recently, it’s come to light that Files-Aime has officially joined the New York-based nonprofit organization New York Videogame Critic Circles.

He will be a member of the board of directors at the organization. When asked about the nonprofit organization, Fils-Aime said, “I have an admiration for the work that the NYVGCC has accomplished in giving back to communities since its inception and can’t wait to jump in and contribute to the success of the organization.”

The New York Videogame Critic Circles features passionate journalists from other outlets including The Washington Post. Meanwhile, it has programs that focus on video game history and other variety of topics. Fils-Aime’s role will assist the organization with his charisma and strong leadership if his time as president of Nintendo of America shows any reflection of his dedication and passion.

2019 is the year of Fils-Aime as he has accomplished a lot of opportunities after retiring from Nintendo of America. Even if he won’t greet fans in future Nintendo Directs, his heart remains with video games.
