Secret of Mana Out Today

Square Enix releases a remake of the classic game Secret of Mana. New features are included with the game, but it still retain its classic gameplay and story. Secret of Mana is out now for the PS4, PS Vita, and Steam.

Back in 1993, Square released an action role playing game on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System named Secret of Mana. Fast forward 25 years and Square Enix has released Secret of Mana yet again, but this time revamped it to the modern console.

Secret of Mana tells the story of Randi, Primm, and Popoi as they battle an empire in order to reclaim the power of Mana and bring the world back to order. Are you prepared to face the obstacles ahead and do what it takes?

Same Game, Different Look

For those that didn’t play Secret of Mana on the 16-bit SNES, this will be a brand new adventure. For those that played it when it originally released, you’re in for a whole new look. These are the changes that were made:

• Revamped visuals in high definition 3D and additional voice-overs bring the characters more to life.
• A newly arranged musical score, as well as the option to play the classic soundtrack.
• New narrative scenes bring extra insight into the Mana filled world.
• Play the definitive version of the classic game with new features, updated for modern hardware, including shortcuts, autosave, improved AI controls, and more.

Multiplayer

While you can play the game by yourself, the remake of Secret of Mana includes local multiplayer with up to three friends, so you don’t have to brave the world on your own. This is a great way to introduce your friends to the world of Secret of Mana or take a trip down memory lane with those who have played it before.
