Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man swung his way onto the stage for Sony’s E3 2018 press conference tonight, further igniting the flames of excitement for the game’s September release date.

The new trailer kicked off with Spider-Man and Electro duking it out at The Raft, a high security prison in the Marvel universe. Electro triggers a prison break and it’s up to Spidey to take down all the big bads that empty out of their cells.

Along the way, Spider-Man encounters Rhino and Scorpion, two more of his classic archenemies, showing off the massive rogues gallery that he has and that Insomniac games has been allowed to work with.

What ensues next is an awesome chase through the crumbling remains of the Raft as Electro begins to knock it all down from the outside. And then the Vulture joins in. Before you know it, Mr. Negative joins the fray and Spider-Man begins to get beaten down by five of his archenemies all at once.

Spider-Man looks defeated, but a light glows above him. Peter Parker looks up and says “Wait…you?” and the video ends. What a teaser! Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait now. Spider-Man releases exclusively on PS4 on Sept. 7.
