Nintendo is celebrating the first anniversary of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with a special Spirit event.

Japanese Nintendo website recently reported that a special “Thank you! 1st Anniversary” spirit event will begin this Friday, Dec. 6. It’ll run for three days. There’s no time when it’ll start specifically, but we’re guessing early morning.

During that time, players will have the opportunity to earn Experience Points and SP, but at triple value. That means they’ll be able to stack up experience like no one’s business.

Also, an additional 50 percent damage item will be available throughout the event, as well.

While there aren’t specific characters jumping into the fray during the event (like the previously revealed Resident Evil quartet), this is an excellent opportunity to level up while taking on rival players or AI opponents. And it’ll get you primed for whomever the fifth downloadable character for the first season is, as we could get a hint in the days ahead — possibly even during the Game Awards 2019. (Keep in mind that Atlus’ Persona superstar, Joker, was initially revealed last year.)

So once Friday rolls around, fans, it’ll be time to jump into the game and get your Smash on.
