Persona titles sold 400k copies globally during the 2020 holiday season alone

The franchise had stellar sales within the last three months of 2020.

The recent Sega Sammy financial results for Fiscal Year Ending March 2021 third quarter revealed that sales numbers have continued to grow strong for the Persona series. The following Persona titles sold roughly 400k copies during last year’s fourth quarter alone:

The sales numbers include both physical and digital sales, and they are impressive considering how old most of these Persona games are. In the Notice of Revision of Full-Year Operating Results Forecast, Sega also states that Western pre-order sales for Persona 5 Strikers are currently strong, suggesting some impressive day one sales for the title once it drops later this month.

Pre-orders for Persona 5 Strikers began on December 10, 2020, and the game will launch in the West on February 23 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players will also be able to play it on PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility.

There will be a standard edition for all platforms, as well as a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes an art book, soundtrack, background music from previous Persona games, and in-game attack boosters. As an extra bonus, those who pre-order the latter will be able to download and play the full game on February 19.
