Pokémon Go is a mobile game that is based on the popular Pokémon franchise. The game was an international hit when it launched in the summer of 2016. Everyone was playing the game; people all over were playing it while walking on the streets. Though the game has somewhat died down since its launch, Pokémon Go is still considered to be one of the most popular mobile games in the world.

Sensor Tower has compiled a set of data showing the yearly revenue for the game. Since its launch in 2016, the title has accumulated around 3 billion dollars in total.

According to Sensor Tower’s stats, Pokémon Go made $832 million in 2016, its most financial successful year. 2017’s revenue took a sizable dip; Go only made $589 million in 2017. The game’s revenue in 2018 was closer to that of 2016’s, earning around $816 million. So far, in 2018, the game’s income for the year is $774 million.

The United States is the biggest market for the game. It is reported that US players has approximately spent $1.1 billion for the game. Japan is the second-largest spender for the game, the total Japanese gross for the game is reported to be $884.5 million.

It was also reported that Pokémon Go has been downloaded 1 billion times, making it one of the most successful mobile titles on the planet.
